In Cento, in the province of Ferrara, on May 1, 2000, a boy was born with his heart already tuned to the rhythm of the bagher and the spikes. His name is Andrea Masotti. And now that he is twenty-five, he faces a new phase of his volleyball life. He does it with the same attitude with which he faced every single exchange under the net: head held high, humble spirit and desire to grow. Masotti is the new “assistant coach” of Belluno Volley: he will work side by side with Marco Marzola, the technical guide, and Andrea Vanini, the second coach. A trio that promises ideas, skills and cohesion.

JOURNEY – The transition from player to coach is very recent: «Until a few days ago I was on the court, in the role of spiker» he says. But when the call of the bench makes itself heard, you have to know how to listen. Expanding the boundaries, the journey into the magical world of volleyball starts in the Ferrara arenas, then takes off towards Modena, where he lives five formative seasons: from Under 15 to Serie B. Then, the return to Ferrara and the baptism among the greats: two years in Serie A3 with Portomaggiore, where he also challenges the Belluno rhinoceroses. It is the 2021-2022 season: Masotti is on the scoresheet both in the first and second leg. And he contributes to the two successes of the then Sa.Ma. with 5 points and two winning serves in the shadow of the Dolomites; 8 points and a block in the confrontation in Emilia.
