A joint training session in which, compared to last Saturday, the level was raised, and this was very important for gaining useful information for the rest of the preparation. Massimo Colaci, who this year is preparing to play his ninth consecutive season in the black and white jersey and who is well acquainted with these phases leading up to the start of the season, also emphasized this: “It was certainly a more demanding test than the one a few days ago, we expected it, and these are the matches we need. There is a lot to do, to improve, in all the fundamentals, in all phases, but the important thing was to bring to the pitch what we have achieved so far: sometimes we succeeded, sometimes less so, but this is part of our process and growth path. We still need to understand certain situations, we need to explain our game system to those who have just arrived. As usual, it’s not easy these days because someone might have been sidelined, someone like Adrien is giving a big hand, and then he’ll leave… It’s not easy, but I’m especially quite satisfied with the second set, not because we won it, but for certain things we did; in other places we could have done better, but it’s part of our journey.”
