The joint training session in Terni helped strengthen his confidence in the group assembled over the summer: “It was undoubtedly a positive test,” said the 22-year-old Lombard player, “and I’m very happy to have seen the team in action against an opponent on the other side of the court. We didn’t perform at our best—and to expect that now would be excessive—but we gradually improved throughout the sets. I think this is a truly positive sign.”
