Modena Volley expresses its deepest condolences for the passing of Vladimir Jankovic, who passed away yesterday at the age of 84.
An extraordinary figure in Croatian volleyball as a player and then as a coach, he made Modena history in 1990, when, leading the yellow team, Vladimir “Braco” Jankovic, reached the historic Champions Cup final in Amstelveen, Netherlands, where the Philips-branded Panini team defeated French side Frejus. That extraordinary team, led by Jankovic, lifted the first epic Champions Cup in the yellow-blue’s history.
