As announced in recent weeks, the Modena Volley women’s team has officially been launched, and will compete in the Serie B2 national championship in the 2025/26 season.

This project, strongly supported by the club, marks the beginning of a new journey within the club and represents a significant expansion of the yellow-and-blue sporting activities. The first women’s team will be supported by a large and well-structured technical structure consisting of over 120 girls and boys who, starting this season, will join the Modena Volley youth sector, with teams: Under 10, Under 11, Under 12, No. 2 Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18.

The women’s sector is now fully integrated into the Modena Volley youth sector, in a single shared reality that unites girls and boys under the same colors, the same values, and a common technical identity.

With the confirmation of all the men’s teams—from Under 10-11 to Under 19 competing in regional and national championships—Modena Volley’s youth sector will have a total of over 250 boys and girls, strengthening its position as one of the most structured and numerous youth centers in the Italian volleyball scene. This is an important sign, bucking the trend of many clubs closing or subcontracting their youth programs following the disappearance of the sporting constraint that guaranteed certain revenues.
