Although things on the field aren’t going as hoped at the start of the season, last Monday was a moment of great satisfaction for Avimec Modica, thanks to General Manager Luca Leocata, who, at the “Scalia” theater in Trecastagni, was awarded the “Castagna d’argento” (Silver Chestnut) award. This award, now in its 20th year, celebrates excellence in Italian sport with recognition for managers, athletes, and coaches.
A well-deserved recognition for the General Manager of the Modica team, which competes in the Serie A3 championship and has become a benchmark in Sicilian volleyball for several years.
Usually shy of the spotlight, Luca Leocata, who prefers to work behind the scenes, couldn’t help but express his emotions at receiving this nationally significant recognition that certainly goes beyond just values and commitment to sport.
