Daniel Muniz is officially a new player for Cisterna Volley. Brazilian spiker, born in 1997, 194 centimeters tall, he arrives after two high-level seasons played in his homeland with the Suzano Volley jersey, protagonist in the last year in which the ambitious team was vice-champion of the Paulista championship.

Born and raised in São Paulo, Muniz approached volleyball in 2010, starting to play at school almost for fun, following his friends. Soon, however, volleyball turned into a passion and, already in 2011, he took part in the first selections for professionalism with clubs such as Sesi, Pinheiros, Centro Olímpico and Ibirapuera.

His career has led him to tread the courts of various European leagues: in 2017/18 his first experience abroad in Greece with Pamvochaïkós V.C.; then the return to Brazil with Copel Telecom/Maringá and Apan/Roll-on; then the arrival in Poland at Cuprum Lublin and, again in the 2020/21 season, the Turkish championship with Altekma SK, concluded with an eighth place. Of particular note is the 2021/22 season in Germany with VfB Friedrichshafen, with whom he took part in the CEV Champions League, won the German Cup and finished in second place in the championship. In 2024 he also wore the jersey of the Brazilian national team, called up by the technical commissioner Bernardo “Bernardinho” Rezende in the Volleyball Nations League.
