Nicola Salsi is officially a new player for Cisterna Volley. The setter born in 1997, 186 centimeters tall, in the last season the director born in Reggio Emilia played with Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, contributing to the qualification for the next Cev Cup of the red and white club. For the new element of the Pontini it will be the sixth season in Superlega Credem Banca.
«My arrival in Cisterna was rather quick: in the space of two days I was offered the opportunity and I immediately accepted, without hesitation – says the new director of Cisterna Volley – I have the feeling that a particularly challenging championship awaits us, as happens every year: the level is constantly rising and everyone knows it by now. It will be a tough year with very high competition. We are a young team, we will have to be good at growing in the daily work in the gym. Paradoxically, I find myself among the “oldest”, and it has a certain effect on me. The prospects are good though, I am happy to be able to start this journey in Cisterna in a group with a very low average age. Even though I am not among the very young, I feel part of this hungry group with a lot of room for growth. If we can build a good atmosphere in the gym, day after day, I think we can get some great satisfaction. Everything will depend on the team spirit and cohesion that we can create.”
