Giampaolo Medei (coach Cucine Lube Civitanova): “Thirteen years ago, I already experienced an asymmetrical schedule in France, and given the numerous controversies, it wasn’t a great experience for the French clubs. I hope things go better in Italy! That said, for a team that is only back to full strength a few days before the start of the tournament and has to experiment with a new set-up, attempting a remake of the Scudetto semi-final against Perugia on matchday two and the Scudetto final against Italian champions Trento on matchday three certainly can’t be called a good start.
