Paolo Pontecorvo reaches the poker of appearances in Serie A with Romeo Sorrento. For him, a native of Massa, it will be the fifth season in Serie A with the black and green colors.
Paolo, it will be the fifth season in Serie A for Folgore and as many seasons for you too. With the triplete you have written a memorable page in the history of volleyball in the peninsula. What kind of season was the one just gone for you?
The one that is coming, both for me and for Romeo Sorrento, will be our first season in this category.
I come from a year where, in addition to the promotion, we managed to win the Italian Cup in Longarone and the Super Cup in Naples.
It was a year that marked me particularly, important from a formative point of view, so intense but at the same time exciting, it will always have a space in my heart.
Now we are in A2. What season awaits us?
We will immerse ourselves in a championship as prestigious and fascinating as it is challenging, we will face it with the right awareness, humility and hunger that has always distinguished us.
What are your goals for this first year of A2?
I don’t like to talk about goals, I really care about being in a cohesive team group, where you can breathe serenity and that veers in the same direction.
Personal goals? The desire and the right work will determine which and how many steps I will take.
