Alva Inox 2 Emme Service Porto Viro has its new director. Coming off two seasons in the SuperLega with Allianz Milano, with whom he also played in the last edition of the Champions League, the setter Nicola Zonta, born in 2000 and 186 centimeters tall, arrives at the court of coach Daniele Moretti.
Born in Tolmezzo, in the province of Udine, Zonta grew up playing volleyball in nearby Gemona del Friuli, where he also played two Serie C championships between 2013 and 2015. After a year in Cuneo, divided between the youth sector and B2, in 2016 he moved to Segrate, a crucial stage in his rise: he continued to play in Serie B, but above all, in 2017/2018, he won the Under 18 championship, being elected best setter of the National Finals. From there, the leap to Serie A2 Credem Banca with Club Italia and the first call-ups to the Under 21 national team, with which he won the silver medal at the 2019 World Cup in Bahrain.
