On the eve of the Del Monte Coppa Italia quarterfinals, which will see Rana Verona host Allianz Milano at the Pala AGSM AIM tomorrow at 7:00 PM, Coach Fabio Soli spoke at a press conference.
Here are his words: “We did well to finish the game quickly against Grottazzolina. This allowed us to conserve some energy ahead of tomorrow’s match, which will be very difficult. Milan plays well, with very economical volleyball, so they give their opponents very little. I agree that they will be a different opponent than the ones we faced in the league: we’ll need to be very patient, especially in our blocking defense. Overall, they will be unpredictable, also because they combine great teamwork and excellent teamwork with two great individual players, their diagonal and opposite setter. Ours is a strong roster, facing a great first test: I expect them to improve their break play, both blocking and counterattacking. I expect a great crowd; they have always helped us, and I’m sure they will do so again tomorrow.”
