The assignment of the second seasonal trophy in Serie A3 Credem Banca is upon us and will take place on Sunday in Campania on the day reserved for the Del Monte® Supercoppa Serie A3. At 18:00 on Sunday 30 March, at the PalaVesuvio in Naples, the most successful teams of the first part of the season will compete under the net.
Romeo Sorrento, the host team that dominated the Regular Season in the Blue Group, qualifying for the tricolor trophy as the leading team of the entire Serie A3 Credem Banca, also won the Coppa Italia in the category, effectively holding both the rights necessary to play the Supercoppa. To establish the challenger, namely Personal Time San Donà di Piave, winner of the White Group, it was necessary to identify the “second best” in the Regular Season, the team with the highest number of points after the Sorrento team, in relation to the games played.
The two rivals are facing each other for the second time, the only precedent dates back to the Coppa Italia Final in the current season, won by the Campania team with the maximum margin last February 23 at the Palasport in Longarone, in the Belluno area. The home team intends to exploit the warmth of the fans of their region and arrives at the contest with its certainties strengthened by the double 3-1 inflicted on Sabaudia in the Play Off Quarter Finals, while the Veneto team, coming off an excellent regular season, had to deal with two negative days in the first round of the play-offs. The double defeat against CUS Cagliari, eighth force of the White Group, cost the elimination in the series of direct clashes in the best of three games.
