Sviluppo Sud Catania has officially signed Riccardo Pinelli, a highly experienced and talented setter, who will wear the red and blue jersey in the Serie A2 championship in the 2025-26 season.
Born in Modena on February 17, 1991, Pinelli brings an impressive resume, boasting experience in the Super League and Serie A2, successes, and leadership on the court. His experience and ability to manage key moments in matches are among the strengths the Emilian setter will bring to the Catania team.
He began his volleyball career in the Modena youth team, where he also participated in a Serie B2 championship. In 2009, he joined the Club Italia project, reaching Serie A2 and wearing the jersey of the national youth teams.
His career continued in Serie A2 with Segrate (playoffs and Italian Cup final), Modena (debut in the Superleague), Potentino, Matera Bulls, Callipo Vibo Valentia (with whom he won the A2 Italian Cup), Tuscania and Aversa.
