Avimecc Modica closes its summer transfer window with a major signing. The most anticipated acquisition, completing coach Enzo Distefano’s roster, brings opposite hitter Leonardo Lugli to the shadow of Castello dei Conti.

This major signing makes a team that aims to raise the bar even higher than in previous seasons in Serie A3 even more competitive and promising.

A native of Mantua, the 200-centimeter-tall player, born in 1998, arrives in Modica after his time in Naples with Gaia Energy Napoli. Lugli also has experience in Serie A2 with Aurispa Alessano and Pag Taviano, and in Serie A3 with Shedirpharma Massa Lubrense, Geetit Bologna, and Leo Shoes Casarano. His track record also includes a Junior League title won in 2017.

Lugli is a very physical opposite hitter with great elevation, making him difficult to stop even for the most skilled blockers in the Third Division league. He comes to Modica to help the team achieve its seasonal goals.
