The wait is almost over. Rinascita Volley Lagonegro continues to work intensely in preparation for their Serie A2 Credem Banca debut, scheduled for Sunday on the court of Tinet Prata di Pordenone. These are the final days of preparation, the ones where details are ironed out and the confidence built day after day between the gym, training, and team spirit is consolidated.
Martins Arasomwan, an Italian-Nigerian middle blocker born in 1995, one of the new faces of the 2025/2026 Rinascita Volley Lagonegro team, takes stock. Standing 200 centimeters tall and boasting impressive power, the 30-year-old from Benin City brings experience and character to the red and white team, qualities he’s already displayed in previous Serie A2 appearances in Aversa, Ravenna, Santa Croce, Mondovì, and Cantù. On the pitch, he’s pure energy, but off the pitch, he’s one of the most cheerful of the group: “This final week is all about finalizing all the work we painstakingly began at the end of August, and I must admit that the team is responding very well. The physical work in the gym is progressing quickly, as is the work in the gym: the group is really solid. The staff and I are doing excellent teamwork. We’re ready to give our all and fight for every ball. We can’t wait to take to the pitch on Sunday against a compact team like Prata’s.”
