After over a month and a half of intense preparation, Negrini CTE Acqui Terme is ready to take the field for the first official match of the 2025/26 season.

The debut is scheduled for Saturday, October 18th at 8:00 PM at the PalaPirastu in Cagliari, where the team from Acqui Terme will face CUS Cagliari in the early match of the first day of the 2025-26 Credem Banca Serie A3 championship.

CUS Cagliari has always been a tough opponent for the team from Acqui Terme, who, in their four previous meetings, have won only in the last match in Valenza, dating back to the seventh day of the second leg of last season. The Sardinians have won two clear victories in the 2023-24 season and a tie-break in the first leg last year.

Seven weeks of training, test matches, and gym work have allowed coach Michele Totire’s team to lay the foundation for a season that promises to be exciting and competitive.

“The team looks good, but not ready yet because no one is ready on matchday one,” Totire commented on the eve of the match. “And luckily we’re not ready, because otherwise it would mean we have no room for improvement. Seven weeks have passed, we’ve worked hard, we’ve even played quite a bit, and now we finally get started on Saturday.”
