Having returned to Modena last week, Gialloblù middle blocker Giovanni Sanguinetti took stock of Alberto Giuliani’s team’s preparations for the new season: “It was certainly a long and tough summer with the national team. Traveling so much is always complicated, but I’m happy to have had this experience. Now I’m back in Modena, and we’re working hard, both physically and technically. I’ve found a serious and hard-working group, including the new players I’m getting to know. We’re a team made up of several young and experienced players. Our approach to the new season is good, and it’ll be up to the pitch to tell the story. Could I leave Modena this summer? Initially, there was a period when I was thinking about leaving, but things didn’t work out, so I stayed in Modena. I spoke with the club; both I and the club are determined to start the season on the right foot, and I’ll always give my all, as I have done so far. We’re building a project that can continue over the years. When there are so many young players, it’s hard to expect anything less.” results right away but I can safely say that they are all high-level players with a lot of room for improvement.
