Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce that the coach of the first team, branded Monge-Gerbaudo, which will play the 2025/2026 Serie A3 championship, the fifth consecutive in the third national series, will be Simone Serafini.
Born in 1975, Serafini is a native of Civitavecchia and is fresh from the four-year experience at Gabbiano Mantova, of which he contributed to writing some of the most important pages of recent history, and not only. Having arrived at the Lombard club in 2021, in fact, in four seasons he led Gabbiano from Serie B to Serie A3, then guiding it to unexpected goals.
In the two-year period 2023/24 and 2024/25, in fact, the Mantua team was the real surprise of the category, capable last year of reaching the semifinal of the Del Monte Coppa Italia A3, the final of the Del Monte Supercoppa as well as the Play Off Promotion Final, after finishing in first place in the regular season. The excellent results obtained in the 2023/24 season also allowed them to win the Costa-Anderlini Award as Best Coach of Serie A3. The fourth place of the following year then allowed the Lombard club to access the post-season again, in which Mantua surrendered to San Giustino in the quarter-finals.
