Championship number 81 is knocking at the door. With the Volleyball Transfer Market closed, which effectively kicked off the 2025-2026 season, the Lega Pallavolo calendar and events have been launched, Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza will return to work at the PalabancaSport starting August 25th to prepare for the new season.
Coach Dante Boninfante’s squad will initially be incomplete, given the commitments some players have with their respective clubs.
Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza will begin the 2025-2026 Regular Season at the PalabancaSport on October 19, 2025, in Verona, and conclude on February 25, 2026, in Padua. One of the major changes for next season is the asymmetrical calendar this year: the first and second legs will not overlap.
Another new feature concerns access to European cups: the first-place team at the end of the Regular Season will automatically gain access to the 2026-2027 CEV Champions League. The 3rd Place Playoff will not be played. The other two teams that will qualify for the Champions League will be the finalists of the Scudetto Playoffs. The pass to the CEV Volleyball Cup will also be assigned automatically to one of the semifinalists excluded from the Scudetto race. The winner of the 5th Place Playoffs will advance to the Challenge Cup, which will involve 7 teams: 4 emerging from the Scudetto Playoff Quarterfinals and 3 from the Regular Season (9th, 10th, 11th).
