A satisfied Marco Bartolini commented on the joint training session ErmGroup Altotevere held last Friday away against Terni Volley Academy. This was obviously in keeping with the current preparation period: “I asked the boys to approach the test the right way,” the white-and-blue head coach stated, “in that I wanted to see what they were capable of, how they would behave with each other, how they would communicate, and how they would overcome the difficult situations that regularly arose in a first set that saw our opponents more invigorated. We entered the court, fought it out point-for-point, then Terni broke the service game with their setter, gaining a three-point lead that allowed them to feel more comfortable. So while on the other side of the net we relied on the serve, on our side we paid a bit of a price, because in that same skill we were faulty and also lacking in impact.”
