Steady growth culminated in promotion to the first team: Marco Valbusa is a solid product of Verona’s youth academy and this year has been an integral part of Rana Verona, participating in the SuperLega championship for the first time.
Born in 2005 and born in Verona, after completing his career in the club’s youth system, Valbusa spent the last two seasons on loan at ArredoPark Dual Caselle, where he gained experience in the Serie B championship. Having been part of the Italian national team’s youth teams for some time, he took part in the U20 European Championships in the summer of 2024. His participation in the U21 World Cup in China, where he won a prestigious silver medal, is more recent.
“Wearing the jersey of my hometown team in the SuperLega is a dream come true and a source of immense pride for me,” said Valbusa. “I’ve worked hard over the years to be ready and earn this opportunity. I thank the club for the trust they’ve placed in me and everyone who has supported me along this growth journey that led to my call-up to the first team. I’m experiencing these first few weeks with the rest of the group with great enthusiasm, trying to learn as much as possible from everyone. I’ll give my all for these colors.”
