Easter Sunday with a bitter aftertaste for The Begin Volley, defeated in the direct clash with the Diavoli Rosa Brugherio; a match that, on the eve, represented a real watershed for the path towards salvation and that, unfortunately, did not have the hoped outcome. The Dorics also had to deal with the physical problems of one of their key players, the spiker David Umek who commented on the match as follows:

“ We knew that Sunday’s match would be fundamental to launch ourselves in the best possible way towards the last play-out matches. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as we wanted: even though the opponent was within our reach, we suffered their game. They were very aggressive in serving, putting us in great difficulty. They were able to take advantage of our drops while we didn’t take advantage of theirs. Perhaps we paid for the day of rest that broke the positive trend of the last matches. I was very sorry not to be able to give my contribution to the team, but throughout the week I fought against back problems that seemed under control but after a few jumps, during the first set, I blocked and was forced to leave the court. Now everything is reset and in the last matches we will play it all out to stay in the category. Sunday’s match at PalaPrometeo against Campobasso will be crucial: it will make us understand if we are still in the running for salvation”.
