A good crowd, a positive vibe on the pitch, but also the awareness of having to keep working hard and with the desire to continue growing to find the right mechanisms. This is the feeling with which Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina left the joint training session with Cucine Lube Civitanova at the PalaSavelli, between two teams still suffering from several absences due to international duty. A test against a high-level opponent, and therefore an interesting one, also offering some important insights from coach Massimiliano Ortenzi: “It was perhaps the first time we’d competed at this level. We did a good job for a long time on the block-defense correlation. We created a lot of opportunities, sometimes a bit sloppily, where we weren’t able to do many things. However, I liked how the boys played on the court. We had a good pace of passing for almost the entire match and suffered a couple of breaks, which is to be expected. Considering the level of serving on the other side, I think we even played some good volleyball at times, even though we weren’t exactly fluid yet.”
