The “2026/27 Season and Calendar Presentation,” the final event of the 2026 edition of the Volley Mercato in Bologna, officially kicked off the next season: the 82nd Serie A Championship (SuperLega, Serie A2, and Serie A3 Credem Banca) is ready to thrill fans and industry professionals once again. During the Presentation, the matchdays and schedules were revealed (which will be adjusted throughout the season for television or event planning purposes), before a large audience that included all 49 Serie A clubs in attendance. Managers, guests, industry professionals, and journalists attended the live launch of the new season, which also took time and space to revisit the extraordinary successes of last season, including the awarding of the latest League prizes.
Credem Banca Serie A fixtures now available
This morning began with big news for the Lega Pallavolo Serie A: the new President, Claudio Durigon, was elected this morning, replacing Massimo Righi.

The program was hosted by Rai Sport’s well-known face, Maurizio Colantoni, who, between speeches, an awards ceremony, and the various days of the championships, gave space to the afternoon’s many guests. The musical portion was entrusted to guitarist Silvia Boschiero, while illusionist Luca Bono provided the wow factor and laughter. Exciting videos, surprises, and even just the right amount of emotion when the presentation concluded with the tune of “The Best Years of Our Lives,” with champions from the past and present appearing on screen.
Maurizio Giglioli, Deputy Director of Credem Banca’s Central Management, announced the renewal of the partnership between Lega Pallavolo Serie A and Credem Banca for the next three years, with the launch of the Credem Next Gen Academy project aimed at young athletes in Italian youth sectors.

Among the new features for next season is the introduction of Playoffs in the Credem Banca SuperLega: at the end of the Regular Season, teams that do not qualify for the Playoffs will compete against each other to maintain their standings with six rounds (home and away). The Playoff format remains unchanged, with teams eliminated in the Quarterfinals competing for a spot in the Challenge Cup.
There’s also news in Serie A2, with the season opening with the Del Monte® Supercoppa A2: on October 11th, Abba Pineto and Consoli Sferc Brescia will compete for the trophy that will effectively open the new season of the second national championship, with last year’s Regular Season winner and the team that lost the Coppa Italia final ready to battle again.
Then there were individual awards, with the three coaches (one in each category) winning the Costa Anderlini Award as best coaches of last season: Angelo Lorenzetti (Sir Susa Scai Perugia), Simone Di Tommaso (last year at Abba Pineto, this season at Tinet Prata di Pordenone), and Antonio Polimeni (Domotek Reggio Calabria).
Afterwards, between one matchday and the next, there was time for individual awards. The Pistelli – Passion for Sport Award was presented to journalist Adriano Torre, while the awards were given to the best press offices in the Credem Banca Serie A. The “Stracca Award” was awarded to Michele Campagnoli (Cucine Lube Civitanova) for the Credem Banca SuperLega, Mauro Rossato (Tinet Prata di Pordenone) for the Credem Banca Serie A2, and Giovanni Mafrici (Domotek Reggio Calabria) for the Credem Banca Serie A3.

Also in attendance were last season’s top referees, who received the Ilario Toniolo and Cesare Massaro Awards: Umberto Zanussi was voted best referee in the Credem Banca SuperLega, and Andrea Clemente was voted best referee for the Credem Banca Serie A2/A3.
