The Mo.Re Volley Reggio Emilia Under-20 men’s team’s adventure in the Del Monte® Junior League, one of the most prestigious events in Italian youth volleyball, concluded with an extraordinary 5th-place finish at the national level. This result recognizes the journey undertaken by Coach Not’s team, who first secured a spot in the Final Eight through a brilliant qualifying round and then competed on equal terms with the best youth volleyball teams in Italy.

Placed in Group B along with Consar Ravenna, Valsa Group Modena, and Sir Susa Scai Perugia, the Reggio Emilia team came close to pulling off a stunning debut against Ravenna, only succumbing in a tie-break after a hard-fought match (25-19, 20-25, 20-25, 25-18, 15-9). In the second match, they lost 3-0 to Modena (25-21, 25-14, 25-20), while in the final match of the group, the boys fought back with determination, securing a valuable 3-1 victory over Perugia (15-25, 25-23, 26-28, 20-25). This result secured third place in the group and a place in the final for the 5th-6th place match.

In the final match of the tournament, Mo.Re Volley faced Romeo Sorrento, a team they had already faced in the qualifying round. The Reggio Emilia team put in a strong performance, winning 3-1 (25-20, 16-25, 22-25, 19-25) and thus securing a prestigious 5th-place finish.

This achievement takes on even greater significance considering the competition’s exceptionally high technical level and the presence of the best youth teams from Serie A clubs. The Final Eight represents the benchmark for the Italian Under-20 movement, and seeing Mo.Re Volley among the leading contenders is a source of great pride for the entire club.
