After Napoli’s direct relegation and Terni’s relegation to Serie B in the Serie A3 Credem Banca Playoffs, a third team is preparing to bid farewell to the Serie A3 Credem Banca. On Saturday, April 25th, at 6:00 PM, Stadium Mirandola and Sav Trebaseleghe will face off again in Emilia for Game 5 of the Playoffs.
The Emilian team came close to securing permanent safety several times, taking a 2-0 lead in the series, but the Veneto team showed heroics, closing the gap with a perfect away game. They then repeated the feat at home, rallying from two sets down in a tiebreaker in a match that was entirely point-for-point, winning in an epic finale to the fifth set. On the other, Davide Cester is 19 points shy of 400 for the season, and Stanislaw Zbigniew Wawrzynczyk is 17 points shy of 1,000.
