Volleyball fans were eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the schedule for Tinet Prata’s first-ever Super League. And the Gialloblù fans will have the honor and the opportunity to satisfy their hunger for top-level volleyball right from the first matchday, as Coach Simone Di Tommaso’s team will debut at the PalaCrisafulli in Pordenone on October 18th against Vero Volley Monza. It will be a delicate matchup, considering the Lombardy team could be competing for the same objective as Prata: staying up. Then comes two thrilling matches: the following week, they travel to Sir Safety Perugia, who last year made a quadruple victory by winning the Scudetto, Club World Cup, Champions League, and Super Cup, losing only the Coppa Italia in the final. Next up is a clash against another noble Italian volleyball team, Itas Trentino Volley. There’s great anticipation for the Boxing Day match, which will be played in Pordenone against Padova, and which traditionally draws a large crowd. There will also be a chance to reunite with old friends. On January 24th, Gas Sales Piacenza, featuring Dante Boninfante, Samuele Papi, and Filippo Pugnalini, will arrive, while on the final day of the championship, the PalaCrisafulli will welcome Luca Porro, who will be playing for Modena.
“It’s a great feeling to see our name among the teams in the best league in the world,” says Coach Simone Di Tommaso, fresh from last year’s A2 Championship award as best coach. “There’s always a special sense of excitement and anticipation for the debut. Making our home debut will be doubly thrilling, and I believe it’s a testament to all the people of Prata who actively contributed, both on the field and behind the scenes, to this incredible opportunity. Looking at the schedule, the first match against a team as structured as Vero Volley will be crucial for the standings as well.
