He arrived in Cisterna in 2022: from the Turkish Serie A, the big leap to the SuperLega. He always honored the jersey, giving his all from the first to the last day. Responsibility, dedication, commitment, and passion characterized Efe Bayram’s years at Cisterna Volley. A shared journey, always following the same direction.

But everything, especially in sports, has a beginning and an end. The Turkish spiker and Cisterna Volley parted ways. Bayram finished his time in the Biancoceleste jersey with 714 points, scored in 83 games (plus 214 points and 27 games in his first year with Cisterna Top Volley) and a season (the one just ended) played as captain.

I’m proud to be part of Cisterna Volley’s history, and I’ll always carry this city and its people in my heart. I consider Cisterna my home; the club has allowed me to play at the highest levels, giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. It’s hard to leave, but that’s normal in sport,” Bayram emphasized. “You change, you look for something else, you need new motivation. I don’t know where I’ll play yet; we’ll see. I spent wonderful years in Cisterna; my only regret is that I didn’t give what I wanted in the recently concluded championship. Unfortunately, an ankle problem prevented me from preparing well at the beginning, and I struggled a bit. Then it got better, but I wasn’t able to repeat what I did the previous season. Being captain filled me with pride. I want to say goodbye to everyone with great affection: the club, managers, collaborators, staff, and players. Everyone, from the first to the last. And the people of Cisterna, who made me feel their affection. For me, walking down the street, going to a restaurant or bar, was like doing it in Turkey: I always said that to My father, to stay calm because Cisterna was like home. I will definitely come back to visit you. I wish you the best of luck, you deserve it. Even if I no longer wear your jersey, I will always be your number one fan. Goodbye Cisterna, thank you for everything: I felt at home with you.”
