Club and management, players and coaching staff, the fans, and the entire community: Belluno is uniting. And it’s ready to unite for a do-or-die match: the second leg of the Serie A3 Credem Banca playoffs, scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, May 1, at 5:30 PM) at the VHV Arena. On the other side of the net, for the fifth time this season, is ErmGroup Altotevere San Giustino. The first leg favored the Umbrians, who managed to prevail in the tie-break, but everything is still up for grabs. So, all that remains is to get on the ice.
TECHNIQUE AND MIND – As usual, coach Vincenzo Mastrangelo and his team have left no stone unturned in preparation: “We focused on some aspects that didn’t go so well last Saturday. And on what worked and will need to be replicated. Or rather, improved further. In these situations, you train both the technical and competitive aspects, as well as the mental one. Because the San Giustino match inevitably took away some of our confidence.”
HUNTING FOR VICTORY – After finding themselves down 2-0 in sets, captain Marsili and his teammates staged a splendid comeback, although ErmGroup rejoiced at the finish line: “The fact that we brought our opponents to a tie-break puts us in a position to qualify with a ‘three-point’ win,” the coach added. “But we’re in the playoffs, and matches must be won regardless. Consequently, not much has changed compared to the previous rounds. We have to win, just as we had to secure a victory against Campobasso or Mantua. The away match on April 25th is behind us, now we’ll focus on facing Altotevere in the best possible way.”
