The road is getting narrower. And every step must be taken with care. Belluno Volley prepares for the semifinals of the Serie A3 Credem Banca playoffs with the knowledge of having built a solid path, but also with the clarity of mind that, from here on out, the margin for error will be slimmer. On Saturday, April 25th (6:00 PM), in San Giustino, the Rinoceronti will face ErmGroup Altotevere in the first leg of a series that promises to be a thrilling one. On the other side of the net, they’ll face a team they’ve beaten three times this season. But the past, at this stage, doesn’t matter.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL – Leading the group is captain and setter Sebastiano Marsili: “In this lead-up to the match, we’ve tried to work as hard as we can in the gym. And to maintain a high level of concentration and intensity. From this standpoint, the coach is pushing us hard.” Preparation, pace, attention to detail. These are key ingredients for facing an opponent whose characteristics can create problems for anyone: “Altotevere is truly strong, especially in serving and rebounding. We’ve already beaten them in recent months, but that doesn’t mean anything. The playoffs are a different story: Saturday’s match will be different from the previous ones.”
UNEXPECTED EVENTS – The Rhinos enter the match after overcoming Campobasso and Mantua on their way to the postseason. And despite some obstacles caused by the “unexpected” variable: “Despite a few aches and injuries, we managed to achieve the goals we had set ourselves so far,” Marsili continued. “As a result, I’m pleased. The solidity of the group made the difference, especially in the return match against Gabbiano FarmaMed: without two players, it wasn’t easy to get a positive result.”
IDENTITY – The white-and-blue team managed to pull together. And finding the resources to express our volleyball when it really mattered: “We were able to express ourselves effectively in the crucial moments, and that was enough to secure victory and, by extension, qualification.” This is where Belluno Volley starts again. From its own identity, from the ability to stay focused and read the various moments: of the challenges. And of the series, in general: “We try to stay united, always. Even in the most difficult phases. By playing as a team, we can achieve our goals.” A new chapter begins in San Giustino. More complex, more intense. And even more fascinating.
