Belluno Volley says goodbye to three more players: Riccardo Cengia, Luca Pozzebon, and Leonardo Michielon. A trio that, through daily work, availability, and the ability to be ready when needed, has contributed to enriching the Rinos’ career. Now, they’re preparing for new experiences at the net.
TWO YEARS IN BLUE AND WHITE – For Riccardo Cengia, two seasons in the blue and white have come to an end. The middle blocker, born in 2001, has been a valuable asset to the team, distinguishing himself through his reliability, dedication, and ability to make an impact whenever called upon. Among his most appreciated qualities is a particularly effective serve, often capable of breaking the deadlock in matches. Also emblematic was his performance last March in Cavallermaggiore, on the final day of the regular season against Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano: 12 points overall, enhanced by 3 aces, 2 blocks, and an excellent 70 percent attack rate. It was a performance that perfectly encapsulates the value of the twenty-four-year-old Schio native.
RELIABILITY – Luca Pozzebon also bids farewell to Belluno. The young setter has fulfilled a delicate role with maturity: that of assistant setter, behind his friend and co-setter Marsili. Despite being given less space than the captain, he demonstrated presence, availability, and dedication: essential qualities for a team that pushed all the way to the final round of the playoffs. Born in 2004, Pozzebon demonstrated he possesses the technical and character traits to continue growing as a setter.
FIRST POINTS – And Leonardo Michielon is also looking to the future. The 2006-born opposite hitter enjoyed a significant season in terms of personal and sporting growth, even scoring his first points in Serie A3. He scored three in the regular season against Savigliano, adding four in the playoffs, during the quarterfinal second leg against Gabbiano FarmaMed Mantova. These are encouraging signs for a young man who has been able to compete with senior volleyball and gain valuable experience for the future.
IDENTITY – Beyond the numbers and individual performances, Cengia, Pozzebon, and Michielon have strengthened the identity of Belluno Volley. The club extends its sincere thanks to each of them and warmest wishes for their continued careers. In terms of departures, the trio joins Sebastiano Marsili, Stefano Giannotti, Alexander Berger, and Nicolò Hoffer.
