The official signing of the young and talented Brazilian outside hitter Lukas Bergmann marks a major transfer coup for Tinet Prata. Born in 2004, he brings his 204-centimeter frame to Simone Di Tommaso’s squad. Despite being just 22, Bergmann already boasts extensive experience. This includes success in his home country, where he won the Brazilian championship with Sesi Bauru. During his youth career, he claimed a South American Junior Championship title, while also winning the Pan American Games with the Brazilian national team. Last year, he arrived in the SuperLega with Gas Sales Piacenza and triumphed in the CEV Cup. Born in Germany to a German father and a Brazilian mother, Bergmann moved to Brazil in 2011. He shares both his passion for the sport and his profession with his older sister Julia—also a national team player—who joined him in Italy this year to play for Savino Del Bene Scandicci.
