Another young man born in 2007 (who recently turned 19) completes the ErmGroup Altotevere roster for the upcoming Credem Banca Serie A3 championship. He’s 190-centimeter-tall spiker Davide Bianchini, who lives in Città di Castello and began playing volleyball there before continuing his career with the white and blues, playing in youth tournaments and the Serie C championship with New Volley Borgo Sansepolcro and, most recently, with Volley Borgo Altotevere. This is a homegrown move. “I’m particularly pleased,” Bianchini commented, “because making the leap from Serie C to A3 is no small feat. I thank sports director Gustinelli for giving me an opportunity not everyone gets. Having experienced players in front of me and being able to compete against them is a huge learning experience, because you can learn and improve. In the meantime, I need to work hard, but I’m ready and fired up for next season.”
