The 2026-27 sports project aims to begin a new cycle, which is essentially the goal of President Stefano Negrini, who outlines the vision behind the construction of the new roster. A shared project born from close collaboration with coach Simone Serafini and sporting director Stefano Moro: “With Serafini’s arrival, a team has been created that involves the coach, the sporting director, and the president. It’s very close-knit and fully aligned with the ideas for building next season’s team.
The 2025-2026 season marked the end of a cycle. We had confirmed much of the roster, adding experienced players, but they didn’t perform as expected. After two years of trying to advance, I believe a third year with much of that team would have been difficult to achieve a satisfactory result. We therefore decided to draw a line under and start again with the young players we’ve built, who are responding very well: liberos Volpara and Trombin, and opposite hitter Dotta, who is growing year after year, becoming increasingly more ready. Alongside them is veteran Esposito, who has been a key figure and a key player in his role since his first year in A3.”
