Andrea Orlando Boscardini is the first name on the New Mater Volley Castellana Grotte roster for the upcoming Credem Banca men’s national A3 volleyball championship. The 25-year-old Lazio middle blocker’s contract with coach Giuseppe Barbone continues with the reappointment of the yellow-blue team.

President Michele Miccolis and sporting director Bruno De Mori officially announced the renewal of Orlando Boscardini, born in 2001 and 205 cm tall. He made 23 appearances for New Mater last season, scoring 203 points (8.8 average per game), and collecting 70 blocks (0.84 per set, 3 per game)—these are the Kraken’s numbers in yellow-blue. For the middle blocker, who grew up in Milan and previously played for Savigliano, Garlasco, Lagonegro, Torino, and Brescia, it was an above-average season that cemented him among the best middle blockers in the category and in the top three in the individual rankings for winning blocks/sets.
