Alessandro Fanizza and Tommaso Guzzo are also on the long list of Azzurri players who will begin training on May 11th for the Italian men’s volleyball summer: they will begin with friendlies and continue with the Volleyball Nations League from June to August.
The list of players called up was announced this morning by National Team Coach Ferdinando De Giorgi during the press conference to present the Azzurri squad, held in Milan.
Alessandro Fanizza: “I’m very happy and even more proud to see my name on the list of players called up, along with other setters who represent the history of the Azzurri,” the Cisterna Volley setter emphasized. “The Italy jersey, the senior national team, is a dream for everyone. I can’t wait to get started. I’d previously been called up for a few training camps, but now this is my first official call-up. It’s a huge satisfaction.”
Tommaso Guzzo: “This call represents something fantastic,” he emphasized. “I’m proud to be here: it’s important, and it represents a further incentive to always do more.”
