After a year at the club, Belgian international Wout D’heer is leaving Cucine Lube Civitanova. Arriving in the Marche region on the back of a top-flight season, finishing among the tournament’s top middle blockers, the athlete showcased his volleyball chops in flashes, but also excelled in solving tricky situations at the net or from nine meters, as in Game 3 of the Playoff Quarterfinals at the BTS Arena against Itas Trentino, his former team.

In his only season at Civitanova, D’heer quickly integrated into the group and contributed to reaching the Scudetto Final, qualifying Lube for the next CEV Champions League and the Final Four of the Del Monte® Supercoppa.

Wout D’heer (middleman, Cucine Lube Civitanova):

“I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone. I’m especially grateful to Lube Volley for giving me the opportunity to wear the colors of such an excellent club. Unfortunately, I wasn’t always able to perform at my best, and the season was marked by ups and downs, but both my teammates and I fought hard and deserved to reach the Scudetto Final, even though we’re disappointed not to have won the title. I also extend a heartfelt greeting to the fans and to this wonderful city. Both my teammate and I had a wonderful time.”
