Sport that unites: Domotek Volley takes the field with the CHOPS Foundation for research into rare genetic diseases

Reggio Calabria’s Palacalafiore sports hall hosted not only a spectacular match against Terni Volley Academy, but also a highly human and socially charged encounter.

For their last home match, Domotek Volley had the honor and pleasure of hosting representatives of the CHOPS Foundation, an organization committed to the fight against rare genetic syndromes, with little Mario and his entire family at the forefront.

It was a special evening, where cheering and competition gave way to a message of solidarity and awareness. The Foundation’s presence on the field served to remind everyone that the most important challenge is played out every day away from the spotlight: in research laboratories and alongside families facing complex diseases.

CHOPS Syndrome is an extremely rare genetic disease, named for its distinctive clinical characteristics. A disease that requires the attention and support of the entire scientific and civil community. The CHOPS Foundation, present at the match, works tirelessly with a clear and ambitious goal: “We dream of a world where rare genetic diseases like CHOPS can be diagnosed early and cured.”
