Matteo Mancinelli, spiker for league leaders Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria, after the victory over Modica: “We’re playing our game really well.” The role of the crowd and the pursuit of continuous improvement, even in the details.
Another show of strength, another step forward on the path Domotek Volley is charting this season.
After their feat in Puglia eight days ago, away to Castellana Grotte, Coach Polimeni’s team held firm and defeated Modica in three sets, in a match where they managed the opponents’ changes of pace and attempts to react.
Commenting on the victory and the team’s stellar moment is Matteo Mancinelli, spiker and one of the leaders on the court, the absolute revelation of the championship. With the clarity of someone who focuses on the team rather than the individual, he analyzes the reasons for this unstoppable run.
“It was a very good match because we were able to play our game,” Mancinelli begins. “In my opinion, we’re playing well and we’re a team that manages to change things along the way, which isn’t something everyone can do. If someone goes wrong, there’s always someone else to help them. And we’re seeing, as the coach says, courage in the eyes of our teammates. I think that’s a wonderful thing.”
