Here we go again. After a dream season, culminating in historic promotion to Serie A2 and triumph in three competitions, Domotek Volley is preparing for the most significant leap in its young history. This leap will bring the Reggio Calabria club into the national spotlight, in a division that, as coach Antonio Polimeni emphasized, “is the second best in the world, considering that the Superleague is the best league in the world.”

The coach outlined a new adventure that is steeped in responsibility, awareness, and enthusiasm. “We didn’t expect to reach this important division in such a short time,” Polimeni began. “For us, it’s a huge, total sense of responsibility. We don’t just have our logo, our sponsors, our brand, our managers, and our players. We have the fans, we have Reggio Calabria, who have supported us and continue to support us, and who place great expectations on us.”

The coach was clear about his goals for his first year in Serie A2: “As is right, we must do everything we can to secure this relegation. Then we’ll try to plan something important, because the city and the surrounding area deserve it.” This message echoes the atmosphere of two years ago, when Domotek debuted in Serie A3 with the determination of a rookie. “It’s the same path,” Polimeni confirmed: “stamina, courage, and a desire to do well.”

Regarding the squad, the coach previewed the philosophy that will guide the club’s decisions: “It will be a mix of experience and a lot of youth. People who are hungry, highly motivated, who already wear our trademark style, and who, through hard work, want to earn prestige for this jersey and this important division.” This project aims to build a solid group, capable of growing over time. “I always think about the work week, the daily grind,” he added. “It’s a context that must accompany us, regardless of the category. Dreaming is free, but we keep our feet on the ground. The goal must always be daily training and achieving the objectives within that training unit. Then, whatever comes, we’ll take.”
