A key player in the Insiemesipuò VolleyMeta/FolgoreMassa project, the 2008-born player has earned the trust of President Fabrizio Ruggiero and Coach Nicola Esposito on the court (best libero U19 2025, Junior League, Serie B, appearances in Serie A3 and Serie A2) for the 2026/2027 season.
Mattia, the staff and fans knew that, with time and results, you would become the libero for Romeo Sorrento, and today that day has arrived. Your emotions:
I am truly very happy and proud of this opportunity. Wearing the Romeo Sorrento jersey in Serie A is something I’ve dreamed of for a long time, and seeing this dream come true is a great feeling. I know this is just the beginning and there will be a lot of work to do, but I’m ready to give my all every day to grow and help the team.
You’re one of the key players in the insiemesipuò project, and now you’re moving up to Serie A3 after a long and busy season between Serie B and the Junior League. What kind of league do you expect, and what are your goals?
I expect a very competitive league, with strong teams and experienced players. It will certainly be a major challenge for me, but also a great opportunity to learn and improve. After an intense season between Serie B and the Junior League, I feel like I’ve grown both as a player and as a person. My goal is to continue growing and contribute to the team’s results.
