“I come from Tollo, a town of 2,800 inhabitants in the province of Chieti, so I think few can better understand the great things Grottazzolina has accomplished in recent years. It’s a bit like imagining my Tollo in Serie A, almost unthinkable.” This is how Oreste Cavuto introduces himself at his new sports home, having come to Grottazzolina directly from Brescia to undergo the medical checks and the usual tests, before officially ratifying his (two-year) bond with President Romiti’s club.
“A well-deserved and successful SuperLega is truly a great achievement, but even in A2 the level is constantly rising, with many athletes dropping down from the top division year after year. This is a club that, through joys and difficulties, has proven to be united and strong, and this strength must also distinguish us athletes. The ambitions are high, and the team the club is building is important.”

From the very first moments, a polished Cavuto emerges, aware of the challenge that awaits him but also of having arrived in a family environment that has always built its fortunes on bonds and passion. “The human aspect is very important to me. I grew up in Trento, and Trento is a family environment like this one. In Trento, we sit around a table like here, and I think that’s necessary. Elsewhere, it’s not like that at all, and that’s an important value.”
