The Bianconeri team arrived in Turin late this morning ahead of the major European fixture that will effectively close out this season for the Block Devils, the newly crowned Italian champions.

It’s already been a stellar season for President Gino Sirci’s club, which has already achieved a new treble, winning the Club World Cup, the Italian Super Cup, and the Scudetto. Now, they’re ready to take to the field as protagonists in their second consecutive Final Four… in search of the Final, and in search of a great, great end to the season!

This afternoon, the boys trained on the taraflex at the Giovanni Asti Sports Hall, while tomorrow afternoon, technical and tactical training will take place directly on the Inalpi Arena pitch, which will turn the spotlight on the Final Four on Saturday: the two semifinals are scheduled for 5:00 p.m., with the Block Devils battling it out with Poland’s Warsaw for a spot in the final on Sunday the 16th. Then, at 8:30 p.m., the second big match between the other Polish team competing, Zawiercie, fresh from winning the Polish Championship, and Turkey’s Ankara, also fresh from winning the Turkish Championship.

Three of the four teams competing in this upcoming Final Four will take the field having won their respective championships, an aspect that promises a top-level spectacle, as Yuki Ishikawa emphasized: “This Champions League is important for us, and then this season we have the Polish champions, the Turkish champions, and also us, who have just won the Italian Championship, so it will certainly be a top-level Final Four. It will also certainly be a very tough match, but we have to be good because we want to win every match.”
