Domotek Volley kicks off the transfer window with a bang. The first official signing of the new Serie A2 season has a significant name: Riccardo Iervolino. The Calabrian club has officially signed the Brescian striker, born in 2003. Standing 195 centimeters tall, he’s packed with power and technique, and is coming off a simply amazing season with Castellana Grotte. A duel between his former team and Domotek ignited last season until the final matchday. Now, from an opponent, he becomes one of the additional assets on coach Polimeni’s roster.
Iervolino is certainly not a new name to fans of the category. Despite his young age, he already boasts an enviable resume. He made his Serie A2 debut at just 15 years old with his native Brescia in 2018. Over the past three years, he’s gained valuable experience between Serie A3 and Serie A2 at Castellaneta Grotte. He also played for Porto Viro, also in Serie A. He was also a young Azzurri player on several occasions, wore the Italy youth jersey and participated in the 2022 Under-20 European Championships. A constantly growing path, which aims to take off definitively in Reggio Calabria.
