Pineto Volley features new faces, but also key confirmations. Ensuring continuity with last season’s successes, alongside captain Paolo Di Silvestre and setter Mattia Catone, will be Matheus Krauchuk. The 28-year-old Brazilian opposite hitter, 201 centimeters tall, will continue to provide power and points for the white-and-blue club after a recently concluded season that made him one of the most prolific players in the Credem Banca Serie A2.

Along with team victories—the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa in his category, as well as first place in the regular season—Matheus Krauchuk finished last season with 625 total points (519 attack points, 64 aces, and 42 blocks), finishing top of the playoffs in terms of points scored (129 points in 29 sets across the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final). This is a significant confirmation for the squad coached by Cezar Douglas Silva, also Brazilian, who will provide continuity of play and understanding to the diagonal completed by Mattia Catone, who has performed so well in recent months.

Matheus Krauchuk: “I’m very happy to have stayed in Pineto. I was disappointed that we weren’t able to finish last season the way we expected and wanted, so when the possibility of staying in a beautiful town arose, with a constantly full arena, a well-structured club, and excellent people, it rekindled my desire to dream big. Last year, I was unable to play in the final due to injury, but now I’m returning very motivated and to a very competitive team. Cezar (Douglas) is a coach I’ve worked with before at Santa Croce, and overall, I think the team is strong and built to compete for big goals. I’m now part of the Gente di Mare and I’m very enthusiastic about sport, but also happy on a human level because my child will grow up in a very beautiful environment and I consider this a positive aspect for my family.”
