Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce the first newcomer to the Monge-Gerbaudo first team, which will compete in the Credem Banca Serie A3 championship in 2026/27.
His name is already well-known in Savigliano: Andrea Marassi. Indeed, Andrea is just the latest product of the flourishing white-and-blue youth system to reach the first team and join a now-established tradition of “promotions.”
Born on March 3, 2009, in Savigliano, Marassi is a libero who has essentially grown up wearing the colors of his city. After taking his first steps in the world of volleyball at just six years old with VBC Augusta of Bene Vagienna in the CSI championships, he began his journey in the FIPAV world with Savigliano in the Under 15s, immediately playing in Serie C. From there, his remarkable growth led to a two-year call-up to the Cuneo-Asti regional team and two appearances in the Regions Tournament. Last year, he spent the entire season with the Savigliano Serie D team and his first training sessions with the first team as a full-time player.
