Avimec Modica has not only received new arrivals, but also important reappointments to ensure continuity in a project that grows more ambitious each year.

After reappointing Vincenzo Nastasi, the blue-and-white management team, dear to General Manager Luca Leocata, has added another piece to his roster by retaining spiker Stefano Chillemi for the eighth consecutive season, representing the bond between the team and the local area.

Born in 1999, Stefano Chillemi, in his eighth consecutive season with the “Galletti,” will be the only Modica native on coach Enzo Distefano’s roster next season. Knowing the values of his hometown, he will be tasked with instilling them in his new teammates.

“As a Modican and as captain,” says Stefano Chillemi, “I’m proud to be entering my eighth season in Serie A3 with Avimec Modica. Being the captain of my hometown team and a point of reference for my teammates is always a great feeling. I can’t wait to get started and meet my new teammates. My personal goal,” he continues, “is to raise the bar and push myself to the limits of my abilities. This year we’re not hiding and we want to aim high. The club,” he emphasizes, “has worked hard to build a roster to stay at the top of the table. All the conditions are there to do well. Let’s hope,” concludes Stefano Chillemi, “it’s a year full of satisfaction for all of us. I’d like to say hello to all the Modica fans right now. I’ll be waiting for them at the PalaRizza and wish them a happy and peaceful summer.”
