A vision built on solid foundations and experience gained on the field. The excitement of returning to his homeland to cultivate a passion on seemingly fertile and productive soil.
Dario Sanna returns to Sardinia after many years as an expat in the elite of Italian volleyball. He arrives in Sarroch, a constantly growing club with the goal of taking the Gialloblù dream ever higher.
I’m very confident in the choice I’ve made, a decision that took a long time to develop and I’ve given it much thought. I had several opportunities, but being able to return to Sardinia outweighed everything else. I think the club offers excellent ground for growth: there’s no shortage of enthusiasm and ambition. We’ll need to implement the structures and strengthen the foundations of those who have worked at the club for years and do it well.
There’s no doubt that, as far as the first team is concerned, our sights are set on Serie A2, a category that would bring us ever closer to the most beautiful league in the world, the Superleague, and which offers a much broader range of commercial and marketing opportunities. All of this would mean the possibility of constant growth, adding new blood to the partners already consolidated over time by the Gialloblù management.
At the same time, it must be our priority to build a youth sector that will become an attractive hub for all Sardinian volleyball players who want to experience this sport in an organized and healthy environment, where values and principles are the foundation. on which to try to become future champions. I know from experience that it takes time and, above all, a lot of work to achieve this kind of organization, but—I repeat—you need the will to work and the rest will follow.
