Yuasa Battery soars across the Adriatic as a symbol of sporting excellence in the Fermo area. An international meeting was held in the town of Bar, a town of 18,000 inhabitants in southern Dalmatia and Montenegro’s main port, bringing together governments and communities from several European countries. Among the delegations present was that of Porto San Giorgio, led by Mayor Valerio Vesprini.
Coach Massimiliano Ortenzi played a central role in the institutional mission, invited by the Montenegrin authorities to represent the sporting experience of Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, considered a model of excellence in the national volleyball scene.
During the official meetings, Ortenzi outlined the club’s history, highlighting the movement’s growth, now boasting over 300 members, and the rooting of volleyball in the villages of the Fermo area. His remarks focused on the themes of inclusion, participation, and the social function of sport as a tool for bringing people together.
The coach met with Bar city officials to discuss collaboration prospects and potential developments in sports initiatives. During the official reception, Ortenzi presented Bar’s mayor, Dusan Raičević, with the official personalized Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina jersey, a symbolic gesture that marked the beginning of a dialogue aimed at future collaborations and sports partnerships.
